The steps to clean your electronic cigarette equipment. To vape safely, it is essential to properly maintain your electronic cigarette. Find out in this article how to do it correctly.
Why clean your electronic cigarette?
The electronic cigarette is known as a potential (and very effective) alternative for smokers trying to quit. Cleaning your e-cigarette is essential to give it a long life.
When to clean your electronic cigarette?
Cleaning e-cigarettes should be a regular procedure. The most common signs that it’s time to do something about your vape:
Dirt on the exterior of the e-cigarette. This requires no explanation, just take a dry cloth and wipe it down.
Burnt taste. This is the most visible sign, it causes a very unpleasant feeling and can even lead to coughing or nausea.
Metal aftertaste. The main reason is too high power and insufficient liquid supply to the vaporizer element. This most often happens on coils with a mesh inside.
A rattling noise.
Tightening too tight.
How to clean electronic cigarettes?
Cleaning e-cigarettes usually involves cleaning all of the components. The overall cleaning process usually involves taking the vape apart, cleaning it, and then reassembling it. It is important to remember to put all the pieces back in place!
First stage. We disassemble as much as possible without using special tools. Disconnect the battery pack (remove the batteries if the model allows it). Unscrew or remove the tank, and empty the rest of the liquid.
Second step. Remove coil or flake from coils and flush tank with plenty of water.
Third step. Wipe with a towel to make sure there is no residual water, then air dry. Do not try to speed up the drying by putting the e-cigarette in the microwave – it is very dangerous! If you are in a hurry, take a regular hair dryer.
Fourth step. Contact cleaning. A cotton swab and a drop of alcohol are all you need.
